Progress in Sewerage Infrastructure
09 February 2023
Văratic village is making significant strides towards modernization through an essential infrastructure project – the construction of sewage networks with a treatment plant. The local government of Văratic secured substantial funding from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL), which allocated 3,352,957.53 lei for the works completed in 2022.
The construction included the installation of sewage networks on two key streets, Vasile Lupu and Livezilor. This project directly addresses the pressing needs of the community, aiming to improve residents' quality of life and protect the environment through proper wastewater management.
While significant progress has been made, the project is far from over. Stage IV is planned for funding and implementation in 2023, which will further expand the sewage networks and provide additional benefits to the local community. This next phase will contribute to a cleaner environment and improved public health. The Văratic local government reaffirms its commitment to local development and infrastructure improvement. This project stands as a clear example of effective collaboration between local authorities and FNDRL, a trusted partner supporting the transformation of rural communities.
